Mat Andasun band

The Mat Andasun band takes centre stage at the Maze 9.30pm for an evening of dirty Bossa Nova, preceded by a FREE Samba dance class at 7.45pm.  Featuring DJ support by DJ Friendly.

Hard-core Afro Brazilian funk. Lean and muscular, nothing is wasted - the trademark Brazilian rhythms coming off Jeff Davenport's drums and Richard Sliwa's array of bateria percussions instruments are underpinned by Dave Sturt's sinuous basslines over which Mat Andasun plays a combination of dirty funk and bossa nova guitar work. All of the band come together in glorious vocal harmony and flavour the mix with an array of sampled electronica triggered from more tapping toes than a line dance.
